Elizabeth Moffitt is a registered psychotherapist and Master’s level intern. She is earning her Master of Arts degree in Professional Counseling through Liberty University and will graduate with distinction in August, 2019. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology with a concentration in counseling from Covenant College in Lookout Mountain, Georgia. She has over five years’ experience working with substance addictions where she saw a wide variety of clients and issues. Elizabeth enjoys working with children (8 yrs+), adolescents, college students, couples, and adults.
Elizabeth’s counseling style is collaborative and relational. She believes that a trusting and genuine therapeutic relationship is the basis of effective therapy. It is her goal to create a safe haven for her clients; one that is warm and accepting; an environment of openness and authenticity in order for her clients to explore, find healing, and solutions for the problems they are facing.
Elizabeth considers it an honor to walk with clients through their pain, healing, and growth. She utilizes multiple counseling approaches based on her client’s needs but primarily uses cognitive behavioral, person-centered, mindfulness, and solution-focused therapies. She enjoys seeing her clients develop and be empowered as they journey toward healing and growth.
Elizabeth grew up in Tennessee and has lived in Colorado Springs since 2007. She has been happily married to her husband, Ben, for 14 years. They have two beautiful children whom they adore. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends; especially when it involves games
