Nichole Bomar is a registered psychotherapist earning her Master of Arts degree in Counseling through Adams State University. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a minor in Early Childhood Development from the University of Northern Colorado in 2000. Nichole had spent over 20 years working extensively in the childhood development field and is currently employed as a Behavioral Interventionist working with children ranging from birth to five years who display challenging behaviors. She is also a certified Practiced-Based Coach, specializing in social-emotional development. Nichole has coached teachers in trauma-informed care and has led parenting classes for adolescent mothers and fathers. She continues to help in many similar capacities while pursuing the completion of her internship and Masters degree.
Nichole seeks to reach the hearts and minds of others with the love shown by Jesus Christ. She seeks to employ sound psychotherapy practices mixed with biblical principles using a person-centered approach. Her goal is to be considerate of the story that others have to tell, create a place of safety without judgment, and maintain clients’ dignity and value as they reveal who they are to her. One of Nichole’s most powerful strengths is her ability to relate to others in a 1:1 atmosphere. Nichole is deeply aware of the restorative desire that God offers every single person and strives to work in concert with Him to help others understand that joy.
Nichole is a native of Colorado Springs but is a beach girl at heart. She is married to her husband of six wonderful years and is hoping to one day share a practice together counseling and coaching blended families. Being a blended family themselves and learning to navigate two teenagers, Nichole and her husband know the unique intricacies of bringing a family together while finding healing and restoration from past experiences. Nichole tries to live life with open hands ready for the blessings God has to offer. As you share your life with Nichole, she will do her best to help you learn you to do the same.
